
About Us
Overview
The University Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (UOEEE) promotes educational effectiveness by providing expert programs, resources, and services in social science research and evaluation, outcomes assessment, and testing and measurement for the university and its constituents.
We are a member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and the NCTA Proctoring Network. We are a test center for many test publishing companies and are capable of delivering proctored exams from other institutions. We subscribe to NCTA professional standards and guidelines testing centers and testing personnel.
The office focuses on research, service, consultation, and resources in the following areas:
- Designing and conducting primary social science research, assessment, and evaluation studies
- Providing data and management information for administrative planning, decision making, policy development, and official reporting
- Supporting assessment and improved effectiveness of ASU academic programs and services
- Providing testing, measurement, and optical scanning services and consultation
Under the direction of Dr. Shelly Potts, UOEEE provides a diverse array of services to ASU and its constituents. Those services fall within three functional service areas, as shown below:
