Please be advised that properly wearing a face cover is mandatory in all ASU buildings, and face coverings are to be worn for the duration of the exam. Single-layer neck fleece covers, also known as gaiters, and face coverings with valves do not satisfy the requirement for use of a face covering on campus.
Please do not come to the testing center if you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of smell or taste, sore throat, muscle pain). If you are feeling ill on the day of the exam or if you believe you have been exposed in the last 14 days to someone who was currently positive or awaiting results for COVID-19, please contact our office to reschedule the exam.
For additional details about ASU’s COVID-19 mitigation strategy, visit the ASU Coronavirus FAQs.
Due to the current situation, the testing schedule is published one month at a time. Please contact our office at 480-965-7146 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you do not find an appointment that meets your needs.
The NES® (National Evaluation Series™) is a teacher certification testing program from the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson. NES tests are aligned to professionally accepted, national subject and pedagogy standards. The test fields range from tests of essential academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and technology literacy to tests of a candidate’s knowledge of pedagogy and specific content areas.
Please visit www.NEStest.com to get started with the registration and scheduling process. Once registered, you may schedule your test appointment online 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Test appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. After you schedule your test appointment, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation e-mail listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
The Arizona Department of Education contracted with the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson for the development, administration, and scoring of the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment® (AEPA®). The purpose of the AEPA® program is to help ensure that all candidates seeking certification in Arizona have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the job of an entry-level educator in Arizona public schools.
For information about the AEPA exams that are available via computer-based testing (CBT), please visit www.aepa.nesinc.com.
