Please be advised that properly wearing a face cover is mandatory in all ASU buildings, and face coverings are to be worn for the duration of the exam. Single-layer neck fleece covers, also known as gaiters, and face coverings with valves do not satisfy the requirement for use of a face covering on campus.
Please do not come to the testing center if you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of smell or taste, sore throat, muscle pain). If you are feeling ill on the day of the exam or if you believe you have been exposed in the last 14 days to someone who was currently positive or awaiting results for COVID-19, please contact our office to reschedule the exam.
For additional details about ASU’s COVID-19 mitigation strategy, visit the ASU Coronavirus FAQs.
Due to the current situation, the testing schedule is published one month at a time. Please contact our office at 480-965-7146 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you do not find an appointment that meets your needs.
November 2019 Update
Effective November 2019, testing candidates are no longer permitted to write in the test booklet. If you have questions or concerns, please call our office 480-965-7146.
We offer both the ACT National and the ACT On-Campus™ (Formerly ACT Residual). ACT On-Campus™ testing at ASU is used to help determine eligibility for undergraduate admission as well as admission to the W.P. Carey School of Business. Unlike the ACT National test, ACT On-Campus™ test scores are valid only at ASU. Registration is limited to prospective students actively applying to ASU or admitted ASU students. NOTE: The ACT On-Campus™ exam may NOT be used by high school students to satisfy their AIMS test requirement. These scores are ONLY valid at ASU and cannot be used for any other purpose than admission to ASU.
Please do not register for a group testing time.
Academic testing accommodations for qualified students can be granted through the Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Services (SAILS) - Phone: (480) 965-1234. Do this as soon as possible.
Once registered and approved, individual testing arrangements with UTSS must be made by email (email@example.com) or via phone (480) 965-7146.
The ACT On-Campus exam registration fee is $88.50. Please note: registration fees are non-refundable.
The exam consists of four multiple-choice sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning. The total appointment time is four hours.
Transfer of a test fee to another test date can be made under the following conditions:
You must wait 60 days since your last ACT On-Campus test before you can retake the exam.
