NSF CAREER grant solicitations encourage investigators to tie together their research to the education of multiple stakeholders including K-12 students, undergraduate students, graduate students, teachers, and the public. Evaluation can contribute to grant projects by providing actionable data to allow project PIs (or teams) to make informed change as well as demonstrate the impact of an educational program.
UOEEE would like to collaborate with you on your education and outreach program to answer questions like: What is working really well? What opportunities are there to make a bigger impact? Are the program objectives being met? What principles have we learned that can be shared with other program implementers?
To ensure a good fit between the evaluation services offered by UOEEE and the NSF CAREER proposals, we developed key criteria that we believe will lead to a mutually collaborative relationship in which evaluation can be valuable to a project.
Key criteria to engage UOEEE:
Once we receive the completed form, UOEEE will set up an initial meeting to discuss the project and assess whether our services will be value-added to the PI’s project. If we collectively agree that the project would benefit from evaluation, UOEEE staff will draft a short evaluation narrative (1 page) and a letter of commitment to be included with the NSF CAREER proposal.
